    Allied health consists of a team of health professionals working closely with our medical specialists and nursing team to provide co-ordinated, multi-disciplinary patient care to meet the individual needs of our patients.

    Day Surgery

    Lingard Private’s day surgery (short stay) facilities are designed to provide a comfortable environment where you can have your day surgery or procedure and return home usually on the same day.

    Our day surgery patients are cared for by dedicated nursing and medical staff who are experienced in dealing with the particular requirements of day surgery and procedures. Our staff are also fully supported by all the resources of the hospital as needed.

    Dental Surgery

    Dental surgery performed at Lingard Private includes the extraction of wisdom teeth and other dental repairs requiring anaesthetic.

    DVA Patients

    Lingard Private is a Tier 1 provider for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). DVA patients are very welcome and we have a Veterans’ Liaison Officer who provides support and assistance to our DVA patients.

    Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery (Otolaryngology)

    Commonly known as ENT, this speciality covers conditions relating to the ears, nose and throat such as hearing loss, deafness, rhinitis, dizziness and vertigo.

    We have five visiting neurosurgeons, who regularly perform the following back and spinal procedures:

    Operating Theatres

    Lingard Private has a busy Theatre Suite comprising of six operating rooms including two fully intergrated rooms.

    Both day surgery and general surgery procedures are undertaken in this Theatre Suite.



    Ophthalmology deals with the diseases and surgery of the visual pathways, including the eye, brain and areas surrounding the eye, including the eyelids.

    Lingard Private has a busy ophthalmic surgery service providing care on both an inpatient and day surgery basis.


    Lingard Private Hospital has a modern operating theatre specifically set up for orthopaedic procedures.

    Patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery are supported by our physiotherapist before and after surgery.

    Pain Management

    Interventional pain management services are provided at Lingard.

    The goals of interventional pain management are to relieve, reduce and/or manage pain to improve a patient's overall quality of life.

    This is achieved through minimally invasive techniques specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions.

    Interventional pain management also strives to help patients return to their everyday activities quickly and without heavy reliance on medication.

    Interventional pain management can be a useful alternative for patients who have exhausted other treatment methods without success and may be the solution chronic pain sufferers are looking for.

    Procedures performed include:

    • Transforaminal steroid injections
    • Nerve, root and medial branch blocks (These injections determine if a specific spinal nerve root is the source of pain. Blocks also can be used to reduce inflammation and pain.)
    • Facet joint injections (These are used to determine if the facet joints are the source of pain. These injections can also provide pain relief.)
    • Insertion of spinal cord stimulators.
    Pastoral Care

    The hospital benefits from the assistance of a pastoral carer. Please ask a staff a member if you would like a visit from a pastoral carer while you are in hospital.


    On-site pathology services provided by Laverty Pathology are available to meet inpatient requirements 24 hours a day, every day of the year.


    Slade Pharmacy is on-site and caters for inpatient and discharge pharmacy requirements.

    Slade pharmacists are medication specialists who work in collaboration with other health professionals to ensure you receive the best possible care during your hospital stay.


    Our team of trained and highly skilled physiotherapists care for patients before and after all major surgery.

    The physiotherapists participate in discharge planning.
